About HumRRO

HumRRO occupies a unique niche in the domain of applied research, lying between the worlds of academics and for-profit consulting firms.

At HumRRO, scientists interested in I-O Psychology or Educational Measurement and Assessment enjoy the benefits of both academic and consulting environments. HumRRO offers a collegial, informal, flexible work atmosphere similar to that enjoyed by many academicians, while offering our scientists access to large, real-world research and analysis issues and datasets that are the envy of many in the academic world.

Since new employees at HumRRO receive project assignments straightaway, the opportunity to have a large impact on public policy and the greater good of our society can be immediate. In addition, our status as a nonprofit organization ensures research objectivity. With no products to sell, we feel no pressure to force-fit a solution for our clients. Instead, we offer our clients specialized, custom solutions grounded in state-of-the-art science. With no shareholders, we are able to pour profits back into the company in the form of internally funded projects, professional development, improvements to the work environment, competitive salaries and benefits, and employee bonuses.

As HumRRO begins its 60th year, we find our role of helping government and other organizations to develop and manage their human resources is more critical than ever. These are turbulent times. Our nation is at war, confidence in government and industry has eroded, our federal government is still adjusting to structural changes designed to strengthen homeland security, and the educational achievements of our students do not compare well with outcomes in other countries.
