Education Assessment & Accountability
The goal of HumRRO’s education research and evaluation initiatives is to improve student learning by identifying indicators of success that can be linked to the use of particular programs or interventions. This includes traditional evaluation efforts, in which HumRRO collects and/or examines data to determine the impact of efforts to improve educational outcomes. It also includes a variety of research studies for large-scale assessment and accountability systems in several states. This work has involved research and application projects in item response theory, validity and consequential impact, classification accuracy, instructional evaluation, performance measurement, and personnel selection.
