Meredith P. Crawford Fellowship

Founder MeredithHumRRO is pleased to sponsor the 13th Annual Meredith P. Crawford Fellowship in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology. A one-time award of $12,000 will be provided to a graduate student demonstrating exceptional research skills. The recipient will be required to progress satisfactory toward completion of the dissertation and to present his/her research during a visit to HumRRO. Additional opportunities to interact with HumRRO staff may be provided. The financial award will be distributed across three payments (e.g., August 2010, December 2010, and April 2011).

To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must be a doctoral candidate in I-O Psychology or closely related discipline whose dissertation topic has been proposed and approved by his/her graduate faculty. Since one of the purposes of the Fellowship is to provide financial support while the student completes his/her dissertation, applicants should be actively involved in the process of completing their dissertation research but not substantially completed or finished at the time of application.

Selection

Selection is competitive and will be based on merit. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their research promise, academic achievement, and professional productivity. Finalists may be interviewed.

Application Process

Each applicant must provide HumRRO with the following:

  1. a completed application form
  2. a personal statement
  3. three completed recommendation forms
  4. an official transcript from each institution attended for graduate academic work
