HumRRO is thrilled to be part of Radford University’s team working to help increase teacher effectiveness in rural Southwest Virginia and the rest of Appalachia. The team was awarded a 3-year grant by the U.S. Department of Education’s Supporting Effective Educator Development (SEED) Grant Program. HumRRO will be responsible for conducting research to evaluate the online, self-paced, competency-based education training for teachers created as part of the Appalachian Support for Specialized Education Training (ASSET). ASSET provides a groundbreaking opportunity for teachers to receive effectiveness training to build workforce capacity in rural Southwest Virginia and the rest of Appalachia.
