The Personnel Testing Council of Metropolitan Washington recently honored Dan Putka with its 2017 Outstanding Service Contributions Award. The award, voted on by past PTCMW presidents, recognizes individuals who have volunteered significant time to further the goals of PTCMW, and demonstrated exceptional commitment and service to the PTCMW and I-O psychology communities. Dan has a long history of volunteering his time for the benefit of PTCMW and I-O to include serving as a Vice President and President of PTCMW, serving on the editorial boards of multiple scientific journals, and delivering numerous tutorials and workshops at PTCMW functions and the annual SIOP conference. Complementing these efforts, Dan has also served on committees that help fundamentally shape sound professional practice – namely The International Task Force on Assessment Center Guidelines tasked with revising the Guidelines and Ethical Considerations for Assessment Center Operations and SIOP’s committee tasked with updating the Principles for the Validation of and Use of Personnel Selection Procedures. HumRRO is honored that Dan’s service to the I-O community has been recognized by PTCMW.
