Biography/Blurb

Mike Cobb has been with HumRRO since 1996. He has over 30 years experience delivering and developing training for a variety of training audiences, including the military. He assisted in the development of draft Brigade and Battalion Training Support Packages (TSPs) using Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) and the digital command and control (C2) systems of the Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS). His recent work includes researching and developing collective and individual leader/battle staff tasks for the Army's Future Combat System (FCS) program. The training material covers the employment of future doctrine, manned and robotic vehicles, as well as future digital command and control systems. He also works on the design, development, and evaluation of the TSP materials used in FCS exercise implementation. Mr. Cobb served as training analyst and developer for five FBCB2 web delivered training modules and as subject matter expert and training developer for the two on-line Army courses: the M1A1 Abrams Tank Master Gunner Course and the M1A2 Tank Commanders Certification Course. He helped develop two field manuals and tactical standard operating procedures (TACSOP) for the Army's new Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA) squadron in the Stryker brigade and performed data collection for two Army Research Institute studies dealing with attrition and desertion in the Army. He helped develop draft Brigade and Battalion TSPs using FBCB2 and the Army Tactical Command and Control Systems (ATCCS). Prior to joining HumRRO, Mr. Cobb served as an instructor and training manager in U.S. Army units and the Army's training institutions, training personnel in maintenance and operation on numerous U.S. Army and British armored fighting vehicles. He has instructed all ranks of U.S. Soldiers, foreign Soldiers, and civilians in training to become instructors.
